It is really good to see that XF has a managed solution. They are one of the leaders in the sector and you don't have to rely on 3rd parties to manage your installs.
Do you think the price is absurd? Or happy with the listing XF offers now?

I think the prices are too high, especially if you are starting a brand new forum...paying that much each month is a lot for a community that will probably take time to build up.
I think those are meant for enterprise customers. For those who do not have a time or a team to manage the backend.
Corporates like it when it is expensive. Cheap services are often discarded with contempt. I have heard people saying that the quality of support will be good if the service is expensive.
Not my opinion, but that is how a lot of enterprise pros think.
That is a good point though and makes sense. It would be nice if they had plans for non-enterprise customers too.
I think Xenforo Cloud and IPB is very expensive. Believe it or not vBulletin has a much reasonable price for their cloud based service, and it's even cheaper if you wait to purchase their service during their Black Friday deal. So if you wanted to use paid software and didn't want to set it up yourself, vBulletin would be better price wise.
I hate managed services. They kind of lock you in - in most cases.
Plus, exorbitant price tags. Those tasks are not that difficult.
I think it is great that Xenforo has a cloud option now but I do feel it is quite a high price and isn't very affordable for many people who may want to use it. I can understand why they would charge but I do feel they are making it a little too steep at the moment.
Most managed services are premium. They are there for a reason. It would be a bad choice if those were not sold with premium tag. They are for the elite who wants no role in maintaining the backend.
Can't we start an affordable service after paying for Xenforo licence? Is it against the terms?
An independent, managed Xenforo solution.
Xenforo 2.3 is now available. Are you planning to upgrade?
