I have downloaded. 1.4 beta 2 crashed once when I enabled the Unified Font Browser Preview. When tried again, it works fine.

You need go to Preferences > Interface > Windows

The content cannot be displayed because it is no longer available.

New in Inkscape 1.4. The Shape builder tools can now work with Raster images to create clip-based shapes. That is, if you have a wallpaper in the background and a vector shape above it (path), you can now cut the wallpaper into that shape using shape builder.

Remember, this is a non-desctructive action using Clip.

I am really looking forward to trying the GTK4 version. Inkscape 1.4 is on GTK3.

Inkscape 1.4 RC1 is now available for testing. Available for Mac, Windows and Linux. The source code is also available

Installed 1.4 RC1 on Ubuntu. It's stable for me.

Eagerly waiting for Inkscape 1.4 stable. I really like the way they have worked on font management. Tried Affinity designer the last day and I was impressed like how it organises fonts. I think v 1.4 is better in some areas.
