System requirements for Woltlab Suite 6.1

WoltLab Suite 6.1 requires the following prerequisites to install and run the software:

• Webserver with PHP 8.1.2+, PHP 8.2 or PHP 8.3 (*)
• MySQL 8.0.30+ or MariaDB 10.5.12+
• Current Webbrowser

(*) PHP 8.4 is currently unsupported. We’ll add support after PHP 8.4 RC 1 is released, which is currently scheduled for Sep 26, 2024.

Do not use it production because seamless upgrade is not guaranteed at this point

What do you like the most in Woltlab Suite 6.1?

When I tried, my server was missing some of the system requirements. Need to overcome this and install.

The new blog talks about introducing " Upload Pipeline " in Woltlab Suite 6.1.

It will help the efficient uploading and delivery of images in the upcoming software suite of Woltlab. This blog post sounds more developer friendly, but in simple words, handling of images in v 6.1 will be smooth and more robust than in the previous versions.

I am loving this. Their latest blog says they are offering Native Push Notifications in Woltlab Suite 6.1.

That's huge if you ask me. Saves a lot of time and effort.
