It is really hard to make a guess. It is Google we are talking about.
They have shutdown many non-profitable ventures. But they have the muscle to keep any project going for a long time as well.

I heard that Flutter got a fork which is widely discussed on many social platforms. The name is Flock and they are supposedly aiming to speed up Flutter development.

Flock definitely got a lot of attention and coverage. Will it replace Flutter? Only time can tell.
