Accuracy can be a big question. Mainly because it need to maintain a style. So words are going to be jingled to suit the rythm.

Public AI tools are learning quickly. The image ones are already close to perfect in some cases.
I am not against AI generated graphics or images. Every bit of art has its own place.

It is still unclear how it will be. I am hoping that they stick to human generated text only. Auto generated text are not reliable in my opinion. They might look perfect but far from it.

Forums played an important role in supporting people who need advise during the early years of this century. Now, after 2 decades, forums are facing new challenges. First, we do not see many new forums getting started. And, very less successful ones.
What happened to one of the most wonderful platforms on the internet?
Demand
There is no existence for any entity without demand. What were forums made for in the first place? There was a time when people had doubts and experts were not around. Those were the days when you will have to run to the library to find an appropriate title that will solve your niche query.
With Google and now ChatGPT reigning the internet, there are too many experts around. But I would say that forums which were meant to get online expert help are not relevant any more. They simply are decentralised social media which paved the way to bigger ones like Facebook.
Is there still demand?
If you believe that people go online to find help, then yes.
Social Media
Social Media like Facebook is a huge forum with billions of users. They are very proactive in keeping the content and engagement going. Users have reason to be on these new generation platforms. The platform owners ensure that they keep them glued to their content by various means like suggested content, shared content, content of interest, related content etc.
Has social media made a negative impact?
Probably yes. A lot of forum owners lost their traffic to social media. But I won’t blame social media for everything that forums are suffering these days. Lack of innovation, bad attitude towards mobile versions and slow speed connections etc are also playing a major role in making forums a difficult business.
The Cost Factor
The free forums kind of died on their own during the last few years. I would only blame the management for the untimely demise of otherwise wonderful software that keeps community engagement going.
It is absurd to believe that those brilliant software are no more because they are open source. There are a thousand open source software that are doing great these days.
With the lack of free options and non-innovative practices by competing players, forums are a big source of drain when it comes to monetary resources.
Dated, of course
The era of text based content is on serious decline. People are enjoying high speed connections and prefer video or more interactive and on-demand content. Forums need to find ways to boost themselves to be ready for a generation who are not used to textbooks or libraries.
Only Serious Players
Perhaps we can say that now only very serious projects are happening because starting a forum is not a funny business. But I still see many mediocre forums that try to monetise within 24 hours of launch. Some of them go into oblivion in under a month, come back, go into dark again without much logic behind it.
What next?
I believe as long as there is demand, someone is going to make a software that will really have an impact on the forum scene.
Content creators however are never out of options. From Facebook groups to YouTube channels, there are plenty of methods available to showcase content to a wider audience.
Even the new generation but controversial platforms like TikTok are also doing great as a platform for content specialists.
There is no need for forums to survive if it is about content and getting help online. But forums in a new way might actually disrupt what we call the very powerful social media influence.

When everyone wants it, what is wrong in charging money for that. There are more people who can pay than who can't.

Yes, it is more or less the same as other graphics. But you need to maintain a single style for all assets.
For beginners game assets may not be the thing to try.

No, only finding time to do it.
I have been into content creation since more than a decade now. Worked a variety of topics and niche. I got a lot of ideas to write about and scribble them down when I have time.

Today they released a new template.

I love that typewriter effect. The new design is minimalistic, focusing on their stable version.

Because it is a good way to make money. There are WP integrations for most forum software. They are mostly premium either by the core software maintainers or paid third party plugins.
