I am sure they will have it in their logs. So you did contribute towards their bug hunting session. Congrats

Didn't think of that. I thought it was a non-productive attempt. Even if failed to get a glimpse of what Invision 5 is from inside, at least the company got some contribution from my side
-
I am sure Invision would be grateful
I will check later today. Or tomorrow. See whether I can register. Perhaps give them 24 hours and see they are fixing it or not.
-
They might already know. Or did they close alpha registrations? Possibly that.
-
It is still open. Somebody did report Error 500 on their community. But I guess you were the first one.
-
In that case, I will try after 48 hours or so. Perhaps this weekend would be better.
-
The initial feedback is the Invision 5 is fast. I am not sure it is the fine tuned hosting they running the alpha version doing this. But multiple users are talking about it.

I was able to register. It works well in most areas. I found a bug though. The cover photo position is not saving. So I took a screencast GIF of that to report the bug. Looks like there is no access to the bug report area for testers.
I went ahead and tried adding the screencast GIF to the feedback area topic. Strangely the GIF upload failed too.

The default (Sidebar) theme of Invision 5 looks like this
The content cannot be displayed because it is no longer available. They also offer a " Classic " theme

Invision Community 5 looks really nice. I would love to try it out and set up a project with it but it's a bit out of my budget at the moment, unfortunately.

Tried to login today and got this. I think there are few areas related to login and registration that needs attention

I prefer their classic theme over the sidebar one. In the sidebar theme, while it looks neat, it is hard to find things.
-
My guess is, they are trying to add all those extra goodies into the home page. Clubs, events, blogs and more through the sidebar theme.
-
I think that is a bit too many to my liking. A lot of information to process without linking them properly, people would leave or won't care.
-
They are getting a lot of feedback. I would say that this public alpha was a good decision.
