No, their website lists that $299 per year per site.
This is the first time I am seeing this software and as much as it does look good, it wouldn't be something that I feel I would use myself but I can see why others would more than likely want to use it themselves depending on the kind of forum that they have.
The price tag is a little eye-watering though.
The fact that it is costlier than Xenforo is a bit amusing. But considering what Toby did with Flarum, I have my hopes high.

I will admit, depending on what they have to offer compared to Xenforo, it may not end up being a first choice unless it would benefit their forum depending on the niche and reason for the forum.
Most would end up going to Xenforo I feel due to it being cheaper and if it does offer more out of the installation.
I am not going to buy Waterhole when Xenforo is available at half the price. Look at Woltlab or even Discourse, so many options.

I agree. Isn't the cloud hosting from Xenforo cheaper than this as well? With all that you get with the cloud hosting from Xenforo and also the other paid options as well that you stated, anyone would be crazy to use this software unless they had a really good reason why the ones at less than the price wouldn't work for them.
Maybe we are missing something. Why would the developers have such a steep price if they have nothing wonderful in it? There must be something that we are missing and the website too.
Franz, another Flarum co-founder has starred the Waterhole GitHub repo. Will they team up again? That would be wonderful.
