Do you know anyone who still uses vBulletin?

  • vBulletin was a software that I moved to after I used MyBB. My forum was doing well and I wanted to bring more to the forum at the time, with all the features vBulletin had at the time and there being no Xenforo at the time of me switching, I switched to vBulletin.

I loved vBulletin 3 and was able to do so much with the forum I had at the time. When they updated to 4 it was something I wasn't so keen on anymore and was happy when Xenforo released and moved to that.

Nowadays it is very rare that I see people on vBulletin, most are either on Xenforo or using free-hosted now.

Do you still know anyone who is using vBulletin?

  • Interesting that some have seen and still use many but others haven't.

Yeah, I was never a fan of vB4 if I am honest and that was why I switched. Not sure what it is like now since I have not used one in a while. Kind of curious though so I may scout Google and see if I can find any that are still using vBulletin.

  • I was using vB for a little bit not too long ago, but decided to make the switch and merge my existing community with two other ones and now I'm using Woltlab Suite. Back in the day, vB was used on many gaming forums I'd visit, it was either IPB or vBulletin that gaming communities used. Now all the forums that once used vB are using Xenforo, heck even some of the IPB communities are powered by Xenforo now. Doesn't surprise me seeing how some of the devs that worked on vB now work on Xenforo. I'm happy with the move to Woltlab, it's a much better platform.
